What we’re looking for
Adams employees are expected to provide friendly service to our valuable customers, ensuring that each experience reflects the commitment to providing quality products that Adams is known for. For the Power Equipment Driver, this means representing Adams professionally while traveling to customers’ homes to pick up and deliver large power equipment for service and repair. You are responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading equipment and communicating clearly with customers and store teams. This role plays an important part in delivering a positive customer experience while supporting Adams’ commitment to quality, service, and community.
Your Day-to-DayÂ
- Coordinate delivery and pickup routes to ensure deliveries are executed safely and on time.
- Test machines prior to delivery to ensure proper working condition.
- Call customers prior to delivery or pickup to confirm timing when requested.
- Maintain regular communication with Power Equipment General Manager and Service Manager.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicles.
- Must be proficient in safely backing up and maneuvering a truck and trailer in a variety of environments, including customer locations and store sites.
- Represent Adams professionally and provide outstanding customer service by being personable and friendly to customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Keep a cell phone accessible during work hours for store communication.
- Maintain valid drivers license, forklift certification, good driving record, and pass all required drug tests.
What you bring to the Farm
- Must be at least 21 years old along with following Adams rules and driving policiesÂ
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT physical in accordance with Department of Transportation requirements
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to efficiently plan delivery and pickup routes.
- Familiarity with Power Equipment parts and components of engines.
- Clear and professional communication skills when working with customers, management, and teams.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, schedules, and documentation.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer serviceÂ
Working Conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet varying business demands, including weekends.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively to ensure accurate understanding.
- Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, with frequent movement throughout the day.
- Safely use any required tools or equipment including a forklift.
- Occasionally ascend or descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder.
- Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers during the shift.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions – including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $18.00 - $25.00. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
