What we’re looking for
Adams Supervisors are expected to support management and department functions to provide friendly service to our valuable customers, ensuring that each experience reflects the commitment to providing quality products that Adams is known for. For the Sweet Shop Supervisor this means assisting the department manager in overseeing the operations and workflow of the Sweet Shop with varying responsibilities to ensure that customers always have a superior experience.

Your Day-to-DayÂ
- Deliver friendly and knowledgeable customer service by greeting shoppers and assisting with product questions and orders.
- Train and direct associates to ensure smooth department operations and completion of assigned tasks.
- Wrap, label, and price repackaged items, while maintaining full, organized displays with proper signage.
- Rotate all products to ensure freshness, educate staff on proper handling, and check items for quality and presentation.
- Assist with making dipped chocolates, lollipops, and specialty drinks; fill self-serve bins and stock shelves as needed.
- Take and prepare customer and corporate orders in person and over the phone.
- Receive and verify deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and alert management when stock runs low.
- Keep the entire department clean and organized, giving customer needs top priority at all times.
- Oversee daily operations of the Sweet Shop, delegating tasks to associates to support smooth workflows and excellent customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and place Sweet Shop orders with vendors to maintain proper stock
- Train and mentor new Sweet Shop associates by providing hands-on guidance, demonstrating proper techniques, sharing company policies, and fostering their professional growth to help them excel in their roles
- If assigned, participate in job interviews and/or disciplinary discussions
- Contribute and assist with the responsibilities of Sweet Shop associates and leads
What you bring to the Farm
- Sweet Shop professional experience
- Knowledge of all candy, sweets and products offered to help all customers and co-workers
- Understand the specialty products for sugar, gluten and nut free customers
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability demonstrate and set the example of Adams’ culture and values
- Ability to operate and train others on Adams’ point of sale systems
- Work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
- Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality
Working Conditions
- Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee department operations
- Ability to communicate and exchange information so others will understand
- Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods combined with frequent movement in a fast-paced environment
- Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions – including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $19.00 - $22.00. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
