We are proud to source the best talent and materials at our manufacturing facility in Poulsbo, WA.  JOB RESPONSABILITIES:  Follows all PPE and safety rules and regulations as set by Watson including affected lock out tag out procedures  Set up the machine to start production cycle which includes calibration and cleaning as needed  Daily preventative maintenance  Control and adjust machine settings according to the product specifications  Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines  Inspect parts with precision and accurate measuring  Test the operation of machines as needed  Meets productivity expectations as assigned by production leadership   All other responsibilities within reason as assigned by production leadership  JOB KNOWLEDGE:  How to fix machine issues that occur during your shift  How to spot quality issues and identify machine-related mistakes utilizing the VQS tools  How to maintain activity logs and records of machine operations  How to work in a required sequence to ensure alignment of the production schedule  How to use calipers and tape measures to inspect dimensional accuracy  All other procedures and policies as assigned by production leadership  WHO YOU ARE:  Someone who operates with a high degree of kindness, humility, and respect for others.    Someone who takes pride in their work  Is punctual and ready to work at their station at the assigned time  Flexible to a changing and ever evolving production environment   Has a good attitude   Someone with at least one year of experience operating a machine in a wood or steel fabrication shop  Someone who holds themselves and others to high safety standards  Someone who can routinely lift up to 50lbs.  Someone with machine programming skills is not required, but could be utilized  Someone who supports and engages with all continuous improvement (WPS) activities including problem solving and visual management     Our Benefits  INSURANCE | All employees and their dependents will have the ability to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. If enrolled, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the 60th day of employment at Watson.  RETIREMENT | Watson will match 50% of employees’ 401k contributions, up to 2.5% of base annual salary. All employees over the age of 21 will be automatically enrolled on the first day of the month following 6 months of employment. You can opt out, decrease, or increase contribution at any time.   PAID TIME OFF | Full Time hourly employees can expect to earn roughly 80 hours of vacation time off during their first year at Watson, 120 hours of vacation time off during years 2-5, and 160 hours of vacation time off each year after being employed for 6 years. Additionally, full-time employees can also expect to earn 52 hours of sick time per year. Both buckets of PTO are accrued on a per hour worked basis and can result in more or less paid time off accrued based on their hours worked.    PAID HOLIDAYS | Watson is closed for 8 holidays every year and offers every employee an additional paid holiday to choose upon employment.  PROFIT SHARING | Profit Sharing is how we reward the effort and commitment of our employees. Generally, 25% of profits are allocated to the Profit Sharing Plan after the baseline profit level is met.
