Disguise is on the lookout for an experienced, energetic, and self-motivated Temporary Costume Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. 


Job Duties:

  • Prepping/steaming samples for licensor submissions &/or meetings.
  • Photographing/styling samples.
  • Tracking/auditing samples & updating project information on product database system(s).
  • Collaging images & generating appropriate forms from databases.
  • Assist designers with hand-mock ups for prototypes (paint, glitter, fabric dyes)
  • Communicating/collaborating with costume designers, tech teams & other depts.
  • Helping designers with special requests: fabric orders, alteration requests, etc.

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suit
  • Understanding of sewing/patterns/fabrics.
  • Must be able to take direction/critique.
  • Ability to follow procedures and direction.
  • Can handle multiple projects while working under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Produce accurate, high quality and consistent work, with attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively through email and in person with team members, other departments and outside vendors.

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ year(s) design experience- Costume &/or Fashion.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suit
  • PDF or link to online portfolio.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design preferred or equivalent experience.
