Job Summary:
Performs a variety of duties to support administration of the assigned department(s).
Job Responsibilities:
Receives, screens, routes, and responds to incoming telephone calls.
Takes accurate messages and ensures timely delivery.
May be required to schedule appointments.
Greets patients and visitors, answers/screens/routes telephone calls, files, distributes mail, and performs other clerical duties as assigned.
Prepares reports, presentations, and other documents as instructed.
Audits storage areas and files to find and correct erroneously stored records.
Suggests process improvements to reduce or eliminate misfiled records.
Extracts information out of clinical and/or non-clinical databases.
May be required to enter demographic, employer, or insurance data into various systems timely and accurately.
Enters information from a variety of sources into computer database(s). Verifies data entered into computer by checking printouts/reports for errors and correcting as required.
May be required to assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and the stocking of supplies.
Skills and Attributes:
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Works under direct supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
