Our e-commerce team plays a vital role in delivering plants safely and accurately, ensuring every customer receives the same care and attention as if they visited our gardens.

Job Overview

The Gardener is responsible for the daily care, maintenance, and presentation of the Antique Rose Emporium’s nearly 9-acre garden center, display gardens, and event venue property. This role ensures the landscape remains healthy, beautiful, and visitor-ready throughout the seasons.

Working closely with the horticulture and nursery teams, the Gardener performs hands-on plant care, landscape maintenance, and garden upkeep to support both the aesthetic experience of our guests and the health of our plants. This role requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and a passion for maintaining inspiring garden spaces.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain garden beds through weeding, pruning, and general plant care
  • Assist with planting annuals, perennials, shrubs, and seasonal displays
  • Apply mulch, soil amendments, and compost
  • Monitor plants for pests, disease, and irrigation needs
  • Maintain garden paths, borders, and public spaces
  • Assist with seasonal garden projects and improvements

Qualifications

  • Prior gardening, landscaping, or horticulture experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic plant care practices such as pruning, watering, and weed management
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 40–50 lbs
  • Experience using landscape tools and equipment such as pruners, shovels, trimmers, and mowers
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
