Job Description

ASSISTANT WOMEN’S BASKETBALL COACH/ LATERAL TO BE DETERMINED

FULL TIME 12 MONTH POSITION

Pratt Community College, a NJCAA two-year public college in Pratt, Kansas, invites applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Will assist with the development of student athletes both in the classroom and on the court. Will also assist in the development, organization, supervision, and management of the women’s basketball program.

An associate’s degree is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated successful coaching and/or playing experience, an ability to learn and recruit student-athletes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to assess situations, solve problems, and develop effective solutions.

The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel and work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, the college community, and external stakeholders.

Preference will be given to candidates with collegiate coaching experience and/or collegiate playing experience. The ability to abide by the NJCAA and KJCCC rules and regulations.

Coaches must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet all PCC driving standards.
