Job DetailsJob Location: Prescott Valley, AZ 86314Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyPOSITION SUMMARY The Lead Medication Coordinator (AL)is responsible for overseeing the Assisted Living medication administration program and its staff. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: Oversee the Medication Coordinator’s daily activities. Ensure compliance with medication administration protocols and regulations. Train Medication Coordinators on proper medication management procedures. Conduct regular audits of medication records to ensure accuracy and adherence to protocols. Develop and implement medication management policies and procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate residents’ medication needs. Ensure safety protocols are in place to ensure residents’ safety. Address and expedite changes in residents’ health and behavior, possible side effects of medication to appropriate leadership. Respect and uphold residents’ dignity, privacy, and independence. Supervisory Responsibility: No. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience as a Medication Coordinator. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Exceptional communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with residents and staff through both verbal and written means. Ability to lead teams. Utilize electronic devices and software provided, especially electronic health records. Understanding of basic healthcare principles or practices. Familiarity with medication management protocols, including knowledge of common medications, dosages, and administration techniques. Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control measures. Awareness of common health conditions affecting older adults. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation. Capability to remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations. Problem-solving abilities to promptly address concerns or complaints, with the ability to quickly pivot from one task to the next. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships.
