Working under the guidance of a Registered OT, you’ll deliver personalized care plans, teach essential skills, and provide hands-on support, all while building meaningful connections with patients and families in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating patients’ functional abilities and home environments
  • Implement treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Teach and retrain patients in essential daily living activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress
  • Collaborate with care teams and participate in case conferences
  • Educate families and caregivers on treatment techniques and safety

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT Assistant program
  • Eligible for or certified by NBCOT
  • Licensed as required by state regulations
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a COTA
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
