Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll be at the heart of critical care, expertly managing ventilators, performing vital diagnostics, and crafting individualized treatment plans using advanced techniques. Assess, deliver, and transform - your skills are essential to empowering our patients to breathe easier, live better. Join us!

  • Performs full range of basic respiratory care for all patient populations.
  • Performs and documents a complete patient assessment including (but not limited to) vital signs, breath sounds, cough, and respiratory pattern with each ventilator system check and with each treatment.
  • Checks all equipment and respiratory modalities (including invasive and non-invasive), maintains alarms and documents accurately and completely.
  • Performs ABGs utilizing 2 patient identifiers, properly handles blood specimens, reports critical values, and maintains blood gas lab logs (where applicable).
  • Accurately completes patient billing.
  • Correctly charges, labels, scans and discards medications.

Job Requirements

Minimum

  • High School Diploma/GED and Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program

  • Must hold and maintain:

    • AZ Board of Respiratory Care Examiners License;

    • Certified Respiratory Therapist-CRT from National Board of Respiratory Care;

    • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support;

    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; and

    • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support

    • NRP within 90 days
