ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures all mechanical/electrical equipment including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and heating, supporting agency facilities is maintained and functioning properly. Makes necessary repairs and/or performs maintenance, or contacts approved contractors as needed.
2. Performs general carpentry, repairs, and painting on Agency buildings and grounds.聽
3. Performs basic grounds maintenance, which may include, but is not limited to, snow removal, sanding, salting, and general upkeep.聽
4. Monitors building systems to assure proper working order; maintains maintenance logs of systems.聽
5. Moves furniture, equipment, files and responds to requests for services from employees.
6. Maintains product inventory and orders supplies; cleaning chemicals, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, as necessary etc.聽
7. Assists Facilities Manager in supervising the work of volunteers; maintenance workers; custodian and oversees bus drivers assigned to custodian activities at ACAP facilities.
8. Monitors agency SDS system for chemicals kept on site.
9. Liaison for vendors when accessing the office to conduct scheduled services.
10. Works closely with the Facilities Manager informed of problems or unusual situations that may require preventative care.聽
11. Travels as necessary to other locations for maintenance and/or delivers supplies.聽
12. Supports Agency initiatives to deliver programs and services and meet our mission.聽

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skill requirements are considered essential:
Experience:
- 4-5 years of experience in custodial and maintenance services
- General building and grounds maintenance and repairs
Skills:
- Good verbal communication skills
路 Use Microsoft Office applications and other computer software as applicable to the position聽
路 Multi-task聽
路 Understand and interpret safety and health regulations聽
路 General carpentry and ability to operate power equipment such as power drill, lawnmower, table or skill saw. 聽
路 Ability to work independently and complete work without direct or onsite supervision. 聽
Education and Knowledge Requirements: The following education and knowledge are considered essential:
- Associates Degree or Equivalent
- OSHA
Other Requirements: Additional requirements that are considered essential:
- Must pass required background checks
- Must have a valid driver鈥檚 license, an acceptable driving record per the program, have reliable transportation, provide proof of insurance, and must be insurable under agency policy
