How you’ll contribute 

The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the Materials Management Director in all of his/her functions. The Supply Chain Coordinator has the primary responsibility to assist the Materials Director, to act as the Storeroom/Distribution supervisor, to monitor and adjust PAR levels as needed; to ensure that PAR level classifications are current and accurate; to dispense of overstocked and/or unused items per department procedures; to coordinate and monitor Lost Charge Recovery programs, to coordinate supply recall information within Materials Management and with other departments, and backs up all department positions filling their functions as needed.

 

A Supply Chain Coordinator who excels in this role:

  • Works as a partner with team members and demonstrates willingness to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

  • Meets often with other associates with suggestions and any additional help needed in purchasing their items.

  • Communicates clearly and effectively with external and internal Hospital customers.

  • Conducts safety control procedures to ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety.

  • Assists EBS in ensuring compliance with established purchasing policies and procedures.

  • Participate in GPO contract administration.

  • Provides research and advice to associates on various products and services.

  • Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.

  • Works with staff on supply issues.

  • Restock sub- inventories twice a day. Enters daily patient charges into EMR.

  • Tracks and initiates charges for special patient chargeable items.

  • Maintains the general appearance of supply room and sub-inventories and allocates storage space efficiently with regard to proper and safe conditions.

  • Performs a variety of basic clerical tasks, such as answering the phone, copying, and data entry


 

  • Drives key performance indicators including internal customer service feedback (to identify order picking, delivery accuracy, etc.), timeliness of replenishment and accuracy of par levels.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
