Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the grain division, ensuring efficient and effective processing and management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance division growth and profitability.
- Manage and lead a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and Superior Ag policies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and analyze data to make informed decisions regarding purchasing and sales strategies.
- Prepare and manage the division's budget, monitoring expenses and optimizing financial performance.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of grain products.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with grain storage, handling, and transportation.
- Collaborate with other divisions and departments to align goals and achieve company-wide objectives.
- Additional responsibilities and duties as directed by the CEO.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in grain industry operations or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of grain market trends and commodity trading.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the grain industry.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with inventory management and logistics.
- Familiarity with grain handling equipment and facilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-related software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
