MRI Technologist

Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused MRI Technologist to join our team in Prosper, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a fast-paced outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality MRI examinations while providing exceptional patient care and service.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No weekends or on-call

Requirements

  • Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) certification and ARRT (MR) and/orARMRIT certification
  • Current CPR certification (preferred)
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations according to established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history.
  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
  • Educate patients about their procedure and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
  • Administer contrast media when appropriate and monitor for any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
  • Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure MRI equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to MRI safety guidelines, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
  • Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.
