The job is for a lactation consultant responsible for planning and coordinating education related to breastfeeding for patients and their families at PMH.
The consultant will assess and teach patients with various breastfeeding conditions while actively promoting breastfeeding and supporting mothers in achieving their goals.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a WA State RN licensure.
Preferred qualifications include one year of experience as an RN Lactation Consultant, with BLS certification required and NRP preferred.
The salary for this position ranges from $41.63 to $77.01 per hour.

Per diem/on call; schedule varies as needed.

Responsible for planning, coordination of patient, family and staff education related to breastfeeding for PMH. The lactation consultant assesses and teaches patients with a variety of breastfeeding conditions. Actively promotes breastfeeding and assists mothers in reaching their goals for breastfeeding. The work affects the patient and their families and the overall effectiveness of the program. Develop new procedures to enhance the service provided. Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. WA State RN licensure. Preferred: One (1) year RN Lactation Consultant. (BLS required; NRP preferred, BLC Board of Lactation Consultant)

Pay Range: $43.09-$79.71
