Job Description

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in PROVIDENCE, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Use your supervisory experience to support a welcoming environment, communicate clearly with shoppers and staff, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care for people.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
