Position Summary
The Teaching Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. This role plays a key part in supporting children’s development through hands-on learning, positive relationships, and consistent care.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Support lesson planning for both indoor and outdoor activities
- Help conduct child observations and assessments
- Maintain classroom environment aligned with ITERS/ECERS standards
- Follow DCYF licensing regulations and BrightStars standards
- Conduct daily health checks and maintain documentation
- Track attendance and meal counts
- Support daily routines and transitions
- Communicate with families through daily or weekly updates
- Ensure proper sign-in/sign-out procedures
- Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings
Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Interest in early childhood education or childcare
- Ability to work as part of a team
