Required Degree: PhD. The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:  The Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at Brigham Young University (https://cell.byu.edu) announces two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions. One position is in cell biology/physiology; the other is in neuroscience. Eligible candidates will possess a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience in cell biology, physiology, neuroscience, or related discipline. Applicants should demonstrate strong potential for effective teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students in the classroom and laboratory. Candidates specializing in the cellular/molecular mechanisms underlying human health and disease are especially encouraged to apply.
 

Duties/Expectations: The new faculty will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cell biology, physiology, and/or neuroscience. They will maintain an active research program that provides high-quality experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Their research program will produce regular presentations at scientific conferences, consistent peer-reviewed publications in reputable scientific journals, and have high potential for external funding. It is also expected that they will be involved in university service and actively engaged in professional organizations at the regional and national levels.
