The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Noorda-COM is seeking to fill the position of FACULTY IN ANATOMY! This role supports the education of osteopathic medical students through high-quality instruction in anatomy and related disciplines, helping learners develop the knowledge, skills, and professionalism essential for successful physicians. Faculty members contribute to the mission of the BMS Department and the College through teaching, scholarship, service, and mentorship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and deliver biomedical sciences curriculum using contemporary, student-centered teaching methods.
  • Provide instruction through lectures, small groups, cadaveric laboratories, and active-learning environments.
  • Maintain availability to students through office hours, pod visits, and electronic communication platforms.
  • Create, maintain, and refine assessments and instructional materials, including exams, quizzes, and learning activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum quality and innovation.
  • Advise and mentor students and contribute to academic and professional development initiatives.
  • Participate in institutional committees, accreditation activities, and college-sponsored events.
SCHOLARSHIP AND SERVICE
  • Engage in original research and scholarly activities aligned with personal and institutional interests.
  • Collaborate with and mentor students and colleagues in research design, IRB processes, data analysis, and dissemination.
  • Present scholarly work at local, regional, national, and international meetings
  • Pursue intramural and extramural funding opportunities.
  • Support interdepartmental research collaborations and represent the College in professional settings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certification:           
  • Advanced degree (PhD, DO, or MD) in appropriate health related science.
  • Experience teaching medical, allied health, or graduate students; osteopathic education preferred
  • Strong experience in cadaveric dissection; histology and/or embryology experience desirable
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
