The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the Engineering team in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers to contribute to product innovation and improvement. You will be involved in analyzing mechanical designs, preparing technical documentation, and assisting in prototype development to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. The role is designed to provide you with practical exposure to manufacturing processes, CAD modeling, and problem-solving in a real-world industrial environment.Â
Additional Duties:Â
- Cooperates as a team member of the department.
- Document engineering processes, test results, and design changes clearly and accurately.
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components using CAD software.
- Support testing and validation activities by preparing test setups and collecting data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to identify potential improvements or issues.
- Provide support to the department as required for efficient completion of assigned project(s).
- Follows all PCB company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the team and PCB.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes, familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Â
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or product development environment preferred. Knowledge of materials science and mechanical testing methods, understanding of quality control standards and practices preferred.Â
