Expected Salary Range: Base salary of $100,000.00; salary and rank are commensurate with academic qualifications and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
This position is primarily based out of our campus in Provo, UT and follows a full-time faculty schedule. Work involves classroom teaching, clinical skills instruction, committee participation, and student engagement. Occasional participation in university or professional activities outside of standard teaching hours may be required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a full-time University faculty position with academic rank based on the appointee’s academic and experiential qualifications. The incumbent serving in this position is primarily responsible for generating and delivering classroom lectures and clinical skills instruction within the basic medical and clinical science topics for which he/she is qualified.

Through high-quality instruction, mentorship, and curriculum development, the Principal Faculty member supports accreditation standards, strengthens program outcomes, and advances the university’s mission of preparing competent, compassionate healthcare professionals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (CORE RESPONSIBILITIES)Â
- Design original or review and modify existing curricula as appropriate to correlate with established or new course and program outcomes and implement curricula in harmony with the educational approach of the program through active course direction and instruction
- Participate in activities of state, regional, and national organizations to promote a positive image of the PA concept within academic, lay, and professional communities
- Mentor, advise, instruct, and evaluate students within areas of healthcare pertinent to PA practice
- Pursue professional development activities such as clinical practice, scholarly works, or an advanced degree (instructors new to PA education are expected to participate in the University’s Healthcare Professional Education Certificate program)
- Provide service to the program by serving on Program-level committees and teams
- Represent the program through service on University-level committees
- Faculty is not to act as a health care provider for students in the program, except in an emergency.
- Administrative Responsibilities: As agreed upon with the Program Director when applicable
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

Education & Certification:
- Graduate-level terminal degree (Master’s required; Doctorate preferred)
- Physician Assistant with current NCCPA certification
Experience:
- 1 or more year(s) clinical experience strongly preferred
- Teaching experience in an educational setting, graduate healthcare education preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, instructional faculty including adjunct faculty and guest instructors, and organizational administratorsÂ
- Proficiency in the use of computers for the organization, word processing, and communication
- Self-motivated with refined organizational skills
- Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctoral degree
- Prior teaching experience in a PA program
- Curriculum development experience
