Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Representative Payee in Provo, Utah! In this onsite role, you'll have the opportunity to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges by helping them achieve greater stability and independence through financial coordination, advocacy, and compassionate support. You'll work closely with clients, community agencies, and interdisciplinary treatment teams while making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults, adolescents, and children in our community. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $21.15–$29.58 DOE and Licensure

What You'll Do as a Representative Payee

  • Manage client budgets, financial allocations, and financial records
  • Prepare and issue checks while ensuring bills and expenses are paid on time
  • Reconcile receipts and maintain accurate documentation and case files
  • Assist with Social Security audits and Medicaid or housing eligibility reviews
  • Serve as a representative payee while responsibly managing client financial resources
  • Coordinate services with landlords, family members, healthcare providers, and community agencies
  • Support clients through advocacy, crisis intervention, and service coordination
  • Help clients access benefits including SSA, Medicaid, and VA resources
  • Monitor client progress, safety, and medication compliance
  • Assist clients with community integration and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to provide comprehensive client support

Qualifications

Applicants must meet ONE of the following:

Note: Applicants under the "working toward SSW" pathway must obtain their SSW license within 24 months of hire.

  • Bachelor's degree with Social Service Worker (SSW) license
  • Bachelor's degree in any field with willingness to pursue SSW licensure

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Knowledge of mental illness, behavioral disorders, and crisis intervention principles
  • Understanding of confidentiality standards, client rights, and community resources
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial and clinical documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
  • May require a Food Handler's Permit depending on program assignment
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for increased wages after testing

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
