Job Summary

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supporting the effective planning, procurement, inventory management, and coordination of materials required to meet production and customer delivery requirements. This position works closely with Operations, Production, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability, maintain inventory accuracy, and support production and shipping schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining adequate stock to support production and customer demand.
  • Create and process purchase orders to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Track and expedite supplier orders to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.
  • Review inventory usage, demand trends, and forecast information to support planning activities.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Operations teams to support production schedules and shipping requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and planning data within ERP systems.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and supply chain issues.
  • Compile and prepare operational reports related to inventory, purchasing, forecasting, and production activities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through process documentation, data analysis, and recommendations.
  • Manage assigned supply chain and operations projects as directed.
  • Provide operational support to leadership and cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and promptly report safety concerns to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations management, logistics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, production planning, logistics, or related operations functions.
  • Experience working with inventory control, purchasing, or production scheduling processes.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support operational decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, inventory planning, and demand management principles.
  • Experience with Power BI, VBA, Power Query, or other reporting and automation tools.
  • APICS/ASCM certification or progress toward certification.
