Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker with our Attachment Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Provo, Utah! This meaningful opportunity offers a competitive wage of $17.50–$22.17/hour and the chance to make a positive difference in the lives of youth and families. Attachment IOP is an 8-week afterschool program serving youth ages 10–17 who have been adopted or are being raised by caregivers other than their biological parents and are working through attachment-related challenges. Through structured activities, supportive interactions, and skill-building opportunities, you'll help youth strengthen relationships, improve emotional regulation, and develop social and daily living skills that support success at home, school, and in the community.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM–7:00 PM No weekends or grave shifts. Pickup is from (1:00-3:00) clinical is (3:00-5:30) Drop off is from (5:30-7:00)

Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOE

What You'll Do as a Human Service Worker

  • Provide compassionate support, supervision, and encouragement to adolescents participating in the Attachment IOP Program.
  • Facilitate structured afterschool activities, skills groups, and daily programming focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and positive social development.
  • Help youth develop skills related to anger management, stress management, problem-solving, communication, and healthy peer relationships.
  • Build positive relationships with program participants while modeling appropriate behaviors and healthy coping strategies.
  • Support youth who are navigating attachment challenges, adoption-related experiences, mental health concerns, and behavioral difficulties.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where youth feel supported and encouraged.
  • Provide guidance and coaching as youth practice new skills and work toward personal and family goals.
  • Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and other members of the treatment team to support individualized care.
  • Assist with in-home family services and scheduled respite support as needed.
  • Help connect youth and families with available program resources, including transportation services throughout Utah County.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
  • Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
