Your Clinical Impact

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be a leader in the rehabilitation department:

  • Personalized Care: Develop evidence-based treatment plans and secure physician approvals to help residents regain their independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).

  • Clinical Leadership: Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and assist the nursing department in training Restorative Aides.

  • Multidisciplinary Integration: Participate in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Reviews, and Rehabilitation meetings to coordinate holistic care.

  • Expert Documentation: Maintain precise evaluations, daily notes, and recertification records in compliance with the OT Board and third-party payer requirements.

  • Empowering Discharge: Facilitate safe transitions by providing caregiver training and recommending essential durable medical equipment (walkers, braces, adaptive tools).

  • Stewardship: Ensure all department equipment is maintained and functional to provide the highest level of care.
