This is a remote/ rotational position, working in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

The Roads and Pads Operator (levels 1-4) will operate a wide range of heavy industrial equipment including, but not limited to graders, loaders, snowblowers, maxi hauls, dozers, excavators, and tankers in support of the Greater Prudhoe Bay roads and pads system. Operators will be required to safely perform pad lifts, roll and level road systems and pads, remove snow from pads, roads and pipeline access roads. Load and unload materials and supplies on the job site daily. This position will require a Class A CDL. Unique and specific job responsibilities for each level is detailed in the knowledge, skills, and abilities section. 聽

Essential Job Functions:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Complete DOT pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks/trailers/heavy equipment prior to use, which includes checking the oil, fuel, general and visual inspection of the entire chassis (depending on type of each equipment being operated) windshield, mirrors, blade, tracks, wheel rims, thumping each tire and lug nuts.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Complete a job specific task hazard assessment (Pre-Task Safety Plan) prior to starting any job.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Notify lead/dispatch of any recognized faulty equipment and red tag for repair.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Adhere to all North slope client and Worley鈥檚 health, safety and environment policies and procedures at all times.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Safely secure all loads in accordance with DOT and company policies and best practices.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Safely drive equipment to dispatched locations.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain equipment in good/clean working order.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain communications with dispatch and clients.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Attend all toolbox and safety meetings.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Safely climb ladders of various heights.

Knowledge, Skills &聽Abilities (Level 4 Operator):

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Operator will be responsible for year-round roads and pads maintenance, civil聽project completion, and other duties as needed.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Highly skilled and competent in the operation of at least five different pieces of equipment utilized in road maintenance and civil work.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Four (4) or more years of experience, with 5,000 documented hours or equivalent.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Safely operate equipment to remove snow from pads and access roads.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 This position may supervise and coordinate the work of other equipment operators and crew members.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of the functional operation, purpose, capabilities, and limitations of any piece of equipment qualified to operate.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to read and understand the results and what each gauge signifies on each piece of equipment being operated.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to read and understand job descriptions, safety/technical manuals, procedures, maps, permits, JSA鈥檚 (Job Safety Analysis), task hazard assessment cards (Pre- Task Safety Plan), safety/warning signs and demonstrate competency, either oral or written, as required.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must display sufficient oral communication skills to be able to give and receive emergency instructions, oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Two to four (2-4) years of experience, 3000 documented hours or equivalent.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Safely operate equipment to remove snow from pads and access roads.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 This position may supervise and coordinate the work of other equipment operators and crew members.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of the functional operation, purpose, capabilities, and limitations of any piece of equipment qualified to operate.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to read and understand the results and what each gauge signifies on each piece of equipment being operated.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of the functional operation, purpose, capabilities, and limitations of any piece of equipment qualified to operate.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Standing for prolonged periods of time.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.

Required Qualifications

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Class A Commercial Driver鈥檚 License (CDL).

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current Tanker endorsement.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Two (2) years minimum experience, 1500 hours documented hours or equivalent.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to be covered by Worley鈥檚 auto insurance provider.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 High school diploma or equivalent (GED)聽

Preferred Qualifications

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working with remote North Slope operations or arctic experience.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Hazardous Materials endorsement.
