Job Summary

Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

Performs sequences of simple or complex operations required to operate or support the manufacturing processes. Uses tools, equipment and knowledge necessary to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs all work for which they are trained or have the ability to accomplish in a safe manner.

Responsibilities:

Following is a listing of the types of typical tasks a Production Operator II would be assigned to perform:

· Operate the production unit in a safe and environmentally sound manner

· Lift material up to 50 pounds repetitively

· Push/pull material up to 50 lbs.

· Use hands to twist, grip, turn repetitively

· Repetitive use of elbow flexing, wrist, shoulder

· Climb stairs up to 4 flights

· Climb in and out of forklift

· Work in a squatting position

· Operate powered industrial lift truck

· Clean process equipment and work area on schedule

· Assist in procedure preparation, writing and revisions

· Use electronic computer data bases

· Work rotating 12 hours shifts
