With over 400 employees in Southern Colorado, you would be joining a mighty team of support and administrative staff, clinicians, physicians, nurses, and others in our efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.   We’re looking for one full-time Payroll Specialist/Accountant to join our Finance Team at 41 Montebello Rd, Pueblo, Colorado 81001                                       What You’ll Be Doing As a Payroll Specialist/Accountant, you will be responsible for payroll processing and additional bookkeeping duties.      RESPONSIBILITIES:  Under the supervision of the Controller, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for the Center’s biweekly payroll processing as well as additional bookkeeping duties, to include: Compiling payroll data, computing for accuracy and checking proper authorization Posting wages/deductions and reconciling errors Processing garnishment requests in compliance with garnishment laws Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests Updating, reconciling, and recording employee leave balances Preparing and issuing paychecks - EFT stubs Maintaining employee confidence and protecting all payroll documents, keeping information confidential Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reporting any variances immediately Posting and reconciling daily cash receipts in ledger Completing monthly billing for the childcare center using the applicable billing system Set up other state payroll tax accounts for remote workers as needed Other job-related duties as assigned by the Controller   Physical requirements include the following: May stay stationery for prolonged periods of time. Moves within the facility. Occasionally exposed to stressful or emergent situations.
