Gridworks is seeking a hands-on Field Quality Inspector to lead inspection and testing efforts on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. In this role, you will direct QC teams in the field, ensure installations meet contract specifications and safety standards, and play a critical role in delivering high-quality renewable energy infrastructure. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced construction environments, values safety as a core deliverable, and is motivated to drive excellence across every phase of a project. About the Company Established in 2014, Gridworks is a leading EPC contractor for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. Primarily operating across the Southwest, we are expanding into other regions. With nearly 3 GW of solar and battery energy storage projects, we are well positioned for continued success in the rapidly growing clean energy sector. Roles and Responsibilities · Lead and witness all site inspections within assigned disciplines · Direct day-to-day operations of multiple QC Teams and QC Team Leads · Coordinate inspections with subcontractors and construction teams · Ensure Inspection Checklist (ICL) reports are accurate, and documentation reflects current project status · Verify work is properly prepared prior to inspections · Review inspection reports for compliance with project specifications and quality standards · Assist the Site Quality Supervisor with organization, implementation, and maintenance of the site quality management system · Prepare and issue Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) in coordination with the Site Quality Supervisor · Support development and implementation of corrective actions · Coordinate resolution of discrepancies with construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client QC representatives · Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with contract requirements and industry best practices · Issue QC site instructions and coordinate closure · Review inspection and test packages during construction activities · Participate in weekly QC meetings · Ensure full compliance with site health and safety regulations Behavioral Expectations · Safety-Focused Leadership – Champions safety as a non-negotiable core value across the project lifecycle. · Detail-Oriented Execution – Ensures accuracy and timeliness across multiple inspection disciplines and deliverables. · Proactive Problem Solver – Navigates complex field challenges with practical and innovative solutions. · Strong Planner & Communicator – Sets priorities, allocates resources effectively, and maintains clear communication with stakeholders. · Collaborative Team Player – Builds strong relationships across project teams and fosters a culture of accountability. · Results-Driven – Self-motivated with a track record of achieving challenging goals. · Adaptable & Decisive – Makes sound decisions under pressure while managing shifting project demands.
