Description
 ConnextCare is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead and oversee all clinical operations across the organization. This executive leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance while advancing our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services.
The CNO will collaborate closely with providers, clinical staff, and senior leadership to drive quality improvement, optimize clinical performance, and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal outcomesÂ
- Supervise clinical leadership team, including Director of Nursing, Director of SBHCs, and RN Manager of Specialty ServicesÂ
- Lead and manage the organization’s Quality Management Program, including QI/QA initiatives and performance monitoringÂ
- Oversee Infection Control, Risk Management, and Quality Improvement activities across the systemÂ
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies (e.g., Joint Commission, HRSA, NCQA, IPRO)Â
- Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and best practicesÂ
- Support value-based care initiatives and drive improvements tied to financial performance incentivesÂ
- Lead Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) efforts and practice transformation initiativesÂ
- Monitor patient engagement and quality metrics, addressing concerns and implementing improvementsÂ
- Oversee training, onboarding, and continuing education for clinical staffÂ
- Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planningÂ
- Represent ConnextCare in community partnerships, committees, and external engagementsÂ
- Promote organizational initiatives, including the Coleman initiative
Requirements
 Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York StateÂ
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field requiredÂ
- Minimum 5 years of clinical management experience, preferably in outpatient or medical practice settingsÂ
- Strong knowledge of quality management, infection control, and risk managementÂ
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office SuiteÂ
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a collaborative, team-oriented approachÂ
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skillsÂ
- High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality
