The base pay range for this position is

$24.95-$39.76 Hourly

however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position Overview:

The Patient Access Supervisor provides high quality and customer service to patients, providers and staff in a caring and supportive manner. Supports clinical staff and providers with obtaining patient paperwork and/ or patient care as needed.

A Day in the Life:

  • Establish and maintain Communication, Collaboration to promote a therapeutic relationship with patients and colleagues. Maintains a professional attitude.

  • Execute teamwork, actively promotes and contributes to a positive work environment. Maintaining proactive communication to ensure efficient, accurate and timely responses to internal/external customer needs.

  • Accuracy: Collect permanent patient information in a timely manner.

  • Train, demonstrate or guide others in the performance of assigned work. Provide staff training and education for all new hires.

  • Audit equitable division of workload by analyzing process, procedures and operating practices; suggest and implements changes.

  • Review quality assurance process including but not limited to audits, case reviews and training sessions.

  • Arrange schedule for Patient Access Representative for vacation, sickness, staff shortages.  Provide relief for areas.

  • Interview and assist Manager/Director with decisions on hiring of new colleagues.

  • Require collaborate with Revenue Cycle team to ensure financial compliance.

  • Personal Education: Accountable to stay current with the changes in professionalism and hospital policy. Completion of regulatory and departmental annual competencies within the timeframe set by the organization.

This Job is For You if You Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues and customers.

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately. 

  • Ability to learn technology in a timely manner. 

  • Ability to read, write, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions. 

  • Ability to type efficiently.
