About the Team:

Pullman Regional Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services Department, also known as Summit Therapy, is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of highly skilled individuals. The Physical Therapy department cares for patients of all ages, in both locations of inpatient/acute care and outpatient services.  

We are also proud to offer Physical Therapy services at our satellite clinic called Summit Therapy Stadium Way in Pullman.

Position Overview:

Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy programs to help patients restore function, relieve pain and manage or prevent disability following disease, injury, or other impairment within the practice standards of the American Physical Therapy Association.

A Day in the Life:

  • Evaluate patient function in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association’s standards of practice for the delivery of physical therapy.
  • Develop and administer therapy plans in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association’s standards of practice for the delivery of physical therapy.
  • Oversee Physical Therapy Assistant(s) in their work with patients on the PT caseload, in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association’s standards of practice.
  • Communicate and consult with other professional staff, including support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Review patient needs and adjust plan of care as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Use positive communication skills within the framework of teamwork, throughout all daily activities and given a like-minded approach of excellence in patient care.
  • Attend staff meetings on a regular basis.
  • Document in accordance with industry standards of excellence and complete all documentation within required timeframe.
  • Monitor patient charts for required signatures and other required components to ensure a complete and accurate chart at all times.
  • Complete continuing education requirements in a timely manner in order to maintain licensure as well as to maintain employment at Pullman Regional Hospital.

  • Degree from an accredited university program in Physical Therapy.
  • Active Washington State license or have the ability to obtain licensure upon hire.
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to utilize an electronic medical record program.
