Title: Punchout Laborer

Location: Field - Florida

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: ODC Construction is looking for a Punchout Laborer to perform finishing tasks and final inspections on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to complete tasks with precision, and a willingness to contribute to the final steps of project completion. This position involves addressing any final touch-ups, repairs, and corrections to ensure the project is ready for handover.

Reports to: Director of Construction

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform punchout tasks such as drywall repairs, painting touch-ups, fixture installations, and other finishing work to complete construction projects.
  • Inspect completed work areas to identify any defects or items requiring attention before final inspection.
  • Address and fix minor issues, including imperfections in paint, trim, flooring, and other interior or exterior surfaces.
  • Install or replace hardware, light fixtures, and other finishing components.
  • Assist with cleaning and clearing out areas to prepare for final inspection and project handover.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and other crew members to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist with other general labor tasks as needed to support the crew and meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and complies with company and industry regulations.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
