Job DetailsJob Location: FLA-Port Charlotte Thrift - PUNTA GORDA, FL 33950Position Type: Full Time RegularJob Category: StoreSchedule/Hours: Full-time; schedule based on donation pickup routes (may include weekdays and occasional weekends) This position is responsible for: Driving a Salvation Army truck to pick up donations and deliver merchandise Loading, unloading, and handling donated goods including furniture and appliances Maintaining vehicle safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations Supporting warehouse and thrift store operations as needed Key Responsibilities: Operates truck along scheduled routes for donation pick-ups and deliveries Loads and unloads donations safely, often lifting heavy items Maintains accurate donation receipts and mileage logs Ensures vehicle maintenance, fueling, and safe operation at all times Provides excellent customer service to donors and customers Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and perform strenuous physical labor Frequent walking, standing, stooping, and climbing Daily driving with exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) Employee Benefits: Competitive pay Health and wellness benefits Retirement plan options Paid time off WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOUEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required, and one year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
