Job DetailsJob Location: Punxsutawney, PA 15767The Cost Accountant will assist and support Plant Controller in monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliation, monthly variances analysis, prepare and post monthly inventory reconciliation adjustments.   Prepare Audit Requests. Work closely with plant management to monitor and report monthly spending.  Collect and Analyzing data related to operational costs. Assist with calculating continuous improvement project benefits.  Assist with yearly budget preparation, annual physical inventory and daily KPIs.   SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collection of Operational Data with analysis Update daily KPIs Monthly Reports Related to U&E/Spending/Sorts Prepare and Post Month-end Journal Entries Track and validate Continuous Improvement Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.              EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING         Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college is required. 3 to 5 years of accounting experience with the ability to analyze financial transactions is preferred Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, general ledger, and financial reporting systems is required Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency is required Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word/Office Suite is required Qualifications
