Beckstrom Electric is Hiring an Electrical Construction Project Manager!

Overview

Beckstrom Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for delivering projects safely, efficiently, and with the highest level of quality while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring financial performance.

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Support estimating with project-specific expertise and client relationships
  • Attend and support industry networking events and associations
  • Maintain relationships with past and current clients to drive repeat business
  • Participate in speaking, training, or industry-related events

Pre-Construction

  • Take ownership of projects during estimating hand-off
  • Review scopes, specifications, contracts, and schedules
  • Prepare job information sheets for leadership review
  • Identify prefabrication opportunities
  • Lead project kick-off meetings with field teams
  • Develop schedules of values and change order structures
  • Negotiate major buyouts and subcontracts

Project Execution & Management

  • Maintain organized documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders)
  • Manage budgets, hours, materials, and equipment usage
  • Oversee subcontractor buyouts and procurement
  • Ensure timely billing and participation in WIP meetings
  • Track project schedules and milestones
  • Conduct regular job site visits (minimum weekly)
  • Manage and approve invoices and cost coding
  • Handle all RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with field teams and leadership regularly
  • Forecast manpower, tools, and resource needs
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards

Leadership & Oversight

  • Mentor and coach Foremen and Superintendents
  • Evaluate team performance and communicate with leadership
  • Collaborate with resource managers on staffing and planning

Closeout

  • Manage project closeout documentation
  • Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned
  • Provide feedback to estimating and field teams

Must Have

  • 2+ years of verifiable experience as a Project Manager for an Electrical Subcontractor
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficiency in interpreting plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
  • Must pass drug test, driving record, and criminal background checks
