Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Puyallup - Puyallup, WA 98371Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Over 50%Job Shift: Day Position Summary The Driver/Warehouse Worker will be responsible for transporting and delivering products to customers by a non-CDL straight truck in a safe and timely manner while representing the company with courtesy and professionalism. The driver is responsible for ensuring loads are secure and has proper weight distribution throughout the route. They will also perform the duties of a Warehouse Worker when not required to make deliveries.   Essential Responsibilities Drives a non-CDL straight truck to deliver materials and merchandise to customers as directed by the company Logistics Department. Performs inspection of non-CDL straight truck before each start and post drive per company and DOT (Department of Transportation) policies and regulations. Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Warehouse Manager. Keeps required fuel, stop-per-mile, and DOT e-logs accurate up-to-date and compliant with all regulatory requirements. Adheres to all DOT and Company safety and traffic regulations. Supervises the unloading of materials at their destination and maintains all delivery/pick-up related paperwork; noting and reporting any discrepancies on Bills of Lading, pick tickets and other company required documents. Assist in duties within the warehouse, meeting requirements of order verifier (stretch wrapper, tape guns, banders). Do product counts and weigh and tag product, check inventory with bar code scanner for inventory tracking. Forklift sit-down and stand-up certified. Perform other duties as assigned.   Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required) Must have a valid non-CDL Driver’s License. Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements. Acceptable motor vehicle record. Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills. Ability to accurately use a tablet based ELD. Ability to read, understand and conduct written procedures and standard work instructions. Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.   Preferred Qualifications One year experience making deliveries with a non-CDL straight truck. Must be 21 years of age or older. Current DOT physical card and ability to pass a company road test. High School Diploma or GED.   Travel Requirements Travel is necessary to ensure customer deliveries are made accurately and on time. No intended overnight travel.   Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to operate a 24-26’ non-CDL straight truck. Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust. Ability to pass and maintain an active DOT Physical. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to get in and out of truck independently. Lift, push or pull up to 40 lbs. without assistance. Climb ladders (up to 15”).
