The Office Assistant plays an important role in keeping Absher’s office organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. As one of the first points of contact for employees, candidates, visitors, vendors, and callers, this position provides front office support while assisting teams across the company with administrative needs, meetings, jobsite support, company events, and Talent Acquisition activities.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Puyallup, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet visitors and manage incoming calls in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Manage mail, packages, courier shipments, office supplies, and general front office needs
  • Support meeting setup, catering, conference rooms, and shared office spaces
  • Assist project teams with new jobsite setup, supplies, shipping, and administrative needs
  • Support Talent Acquisition with reference checks, interview scheduling, and other recruiting activities
  • Assist with company events, special projects, errands, and administrative requests across departments
  • Maintain organized records, supplies, equipment, and common areas

Why You’ll Be Successful

  • 1–3 years of recent receptionist, administrative, or related customer service experience
  • Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional, friendly, and confident communicating with a variety of people
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Proactive and comfortable taking initiative with minimal supervision
  • Flexible, collaborative, and willing to jump in where needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods with repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.

Background Check & Pre-Employment Screening

All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Background checks may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and references. For positions with access to company financial accounts or credit card programs, a credit history check may also be conducted.
