Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Greet members and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to ensure efficient table flow and optimal guest experience.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus while communicating any relevant information to service staff.
• Coordinate with Servers and management to balance seating across dining rooms, patios, lounges, and events.
• Monitor dining room activity to anticipate seating needs and maintain smooth service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
• Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and important notes to Servers and management.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of reservations, guest counts, and table availability.
• Support the setup and organization of dining areas prior to service and during special events.
• Provide support to service staff as needed to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Follow all club policies, sanitation standards, and safety guidelines.
• Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of club offerings, menus, and events to effectively assist and inform guests.
• Represent the club with professionalism and uphold all appearance and grooming standards.
• Assist with major club events as needed, including guest check-in, seating coordination, and flow management.
• Additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· Prior serving experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus

· Good organizational skills and the ability to work well independently, attention to quality and detail.

· Enjoy working with Members, guests, and children.

· Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.

· Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.

· Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events and other forms of non-financial compensation.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
