Schedule: Monday-Friday, Variable Hours, Rotating Day Shifts, Rotating Weekends

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000

SUMMARY

As a Mammo Tech, you are to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills is mandatory for these sensitive procedures. Performs screening and diagnostic mammogram examinations and assists radiologist in performing mammographic procedures. This team member’s role is to obtain images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient undergoing these exams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.
Performs screening, diagnostic, and/or assists in performing mammographic procedures.
Monitors image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all image quality is within alignment with the ACR quality standards. (American College of Radiology).
Monitors equipment for proper performance and functionality.
Performs daily and periodic Mammography QA activities under the direct supervision of the Mammo QA technologist.
Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.
ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
