Position

As a Project Manager you will be a key leader for our Program Management team. You will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, production, and supply chain to coordinate activities concerned with assigned programs and ensure that the right people are working together to solve problems and deliver results on time. You will have ownership and accountability for the successful execution of assigned projects, including new product introduction (NPI), continuous improvement, and sustainment programs.

Duties

Coordinates with programs, engineering, supply chain, and other key functions to ensure that project priorities and work are well understood and are actively managed to support commitments
Identifies the critical path for each project and escalates risks, constraints, and blockers related to equipment, people, material, facilities, etc. to ensure on-time delivery of project deliverables
Builds and maintains schedules, tools, analytics, and status reports to highlight project performance and support planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and project closure activities
Works with Program Management to plan and accurately capture and control project costs using Earned Value Management (EVM)
Actively participates in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) to further promote visibility of project performance, constraints, risks, and impacts
Participates in the preparation of bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other program processes as required

Required Qualifications

Must possess a high-attention to detail
Ability to communicate concisely; able to boil down and summarize key ideas and requests
Demonstrated ability to build trust and effective working relationships with a project team
Working knowledge of composites, composite manufacturing, project management, build-to-print manufacturing, project scheduling, or the ability and willingness to learn these areas
Working knowledge of MS Project, SmartSheet, or other Project Management/Swimlane tools

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S., B.A.) Business, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Management, or similar from four-year college or university; or four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Very proficient with Microsoft office products, document control systems, and databases

Working Conditions

While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
Exposure to hazardous equipment
Exposure to contaminants
Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled
Shared workspaces with other employees
Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime)
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.
