Job Summary: The Beazley Underwriting Graduate Program (P28) is a 12-month development program designed to launch careers in underwriting.

Whether you are familiar with the insurance industry or exploring it for the first time, P28 provides structured training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and hands-on learning to help you build the technical and professional skills needed for a successful underwriting career.

Participants gain exposure to multiple specialty insurance products, learn from experienced underwriters and business leaders, and develop a strong foundation in insurance and risk management.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will transition into a permanent underwriting role within the business.

Key Responsibilities: The Underwriting Graduate Program offers qualified individuals the opportunity to spend 12 months learning about all aspects of the insurance industry and Beazley’s product lines before transitioning into a permanent underwriting position. Individuals in the program will learn from experienced underwriters and will have the opportunity to network with program alumni and senior leaders from across the globe!

What to expect in the Underwriting Graduate “P28” Program:

Receive insurance industry training from internal and external experts through a structured classroom experience
Intensive training with Beazley product lines including, but not limited to: Crime, Executive Risk, Environmental, Property, Cyber
Learn directly from experienced underwriters and industry professionals
Build relationships with program alumni, peers, brokers, and senior leaders from across the organization
Participate in presentations, case studies, and project-based learning opportunities
Engage with Beazley's employee resource groups (Beazley SHE, Race, Proud, Families, Wellbeing, Neurodiversity)
Social events and outings with Beazley leadership, colleagues, and brokers

The program provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to the insurance industry while preparing them for a permanent underwriting position within Beazley.

Location: The program is hosted in our Atlanta, GA office and non-local candidates will be supported in relocation (if hired). Upon completion of the program, individuals will be “matched” to a product line and permanent office. Individual skillsets and interests will be considered in the matching process, but overall team and location availability will be based upon business need, and this can fluctuate over the course of the program. Therefore, location flexibility is a must! Placement locations may include:

Skills and Abilities

Strong preference for bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or Math, or related discipline
Relevant internship, work, leadership, or extracurricular experience is a plus.
Fluency in English and additional languages, where required by the business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant business systems.
Strong numerical, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize workload, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
Confidence presenting information to individuals and small groups.
