Geo-Technology Associates (GTA) office in Quakertown, PA  is seeking experienced candidates for a  Senior Geotechnical Field Technician  position. In this position, you will provide a wide range of observation and testing services for geotechnical and environmental development projects for a diverse client base in the private and public sectors.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. 
 

Senior Geotechnical Field Technician Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and testing the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge
  • Testing of concrete, asphalt and other materials.
  • Observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications,
  • Prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting the work being performed.  Relocation assistance is not available for this position. 
     

Senior Geotechnical Field Technician Requirements: 

  • Reliable vehicle, good driving record and valid driver's license 
  • Physical capability to carry equipment/samples >50 lbs on uneven ground 
  • High school diploma/GED with good writing and math skills 
  • Roadway construction experience (desired not required) 
  • Desired but not required: Possess one or more of the following current certifications: NICET, ACI, APNGA , NETTCP, ICC, FPO 

 

Technicians require the ability and willingness to work almost entirely outdoors, perform extensive fieldwork and travel significant distances to project sites. Overtime may be required, depending on the project. GTA will reimburse you for mileage and tolls and pay you "time and a half" for overtime! GTA will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment, which includes High Visibility Vest, Hard Hat, Gloves, and Safety Glasses.
