Shipping / Receiving Associate βΒ This position receives raw materials and ships finished goods. Β The position is located in the Shipping / Receiving Department.

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Tasks and Work Activities
Β
- Receive and inspect raw materials into Inventory, verify that quantities received and material type are correct, label material accordingly
- Move raw materials to appropriate location in plant
- Inspect / Box finished goods as produced, put into finished inventory
- Off loom inspection of finished goods, cutting rolls into specific lengths
- Schedule shipping pick-ups with truckers or UPS
- Prepare finished goods for shipment
- Perform visual inspections of work area to assure that area is safe
- Communicating with Supervisors β Providing necessary information to supervisors regarding any issues regarding the raw materials, or finished goods or shipping instructions
- Other duties as required by management

- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- English Language β Demonstrates oral and written comprehension and expression of the English language. Β Demonstrates reading comprehension with knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words; rules of composition, and grammar.
- Computers and Electronics β Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
- Active listening β Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Indoors β This position is located in the Production Plant. Β
- The typical work day is sitting for long periods of time
- Employee must be able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Duration of a Typical Work Week β 1st Shift Monday to Friday
