Job DetailsJob Location: Q Office - Quantico, VA 22134Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School Job title Editor/Technical Writer Job purpose Support MAGTF Operations Training Team (MOCTT) documentation efforts by providing developmental support. Duties and responsibilities Review and edit all documents and briefs created by MISTC/MOCTT contractors before submission to the PM and Government representatives. Review, document, author, and make recommended changes for C2 related, MSTP-assigned Marine Corps doctrinal publications, MSTP pamphlets, MOCTT-developed pamphlets and training materials, and COC concepts, tactics, techniques and procedures. Generate, collate, format and assist in the production of draft and final documents supporting a MOCTT Echelon III (EF/TG) and Echelon IV (MSC/TF) COC performance assessments to include post event critiques, after action reviews. Draft, review, prepare executive summaries and comments on Joint, Marine Corps, and other Service doctrinal documents, missions, and concepts. Maintain ready to print master files of all MOCTT published training pamphlets, COC Battle Drills, and lesson plans. Draft and edit complex strategic and doctrinal, camera material and documentation per guidance established by United States Marine Corps (USMC) writing and reproduction guidance. Follow the Quarterly Work Plan and the MSTP Doctrine and Pamphlet Standing Operating Procedures and Writer’s Guide to assist with managing assignments. Review, edit, develop, and participate in development of Marine Corps doctrinal publications, MSTP developed training pamphlets, MOCTT developed pamphlets and training materials, concepts and tactics, techniques and procedures for COC training and information. Produce digital products in Microsoft Office 365 applications. Examples are Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and SharePoint. QualificationsQualifications Completed and favorably adjudicated Personnel Security Investigation prior to assignment. The minimum acceptable PSI is a National Agency Checks with Law and Credit (NACLC)/Tier 3 (T3) PSI. Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master certification (Microsoft Office 2013 or later). Working knowledge in the Navy/Marine Corps Correspondence Manual. Education High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelors degree, in English or Communications, preferred. Years of Relative Work Experience 2-5 years experience as an editor Security Clearance Eligible for a Secret level clearance. TS eligibility preferred.
