Job DetailsJob Location: Q Office - Quantico, VA 22134Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Bachelor's Degree*This position is contingent upon contract award* Job purpose The Operations Chief develops and coordinates operational plans, schedules, exercises, reports, briefs, meetings, risk assessments, and after-action products in support of Marine Corps University and Education Command objectives. Duties and responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update operational plans to support organizational goals and mission objectives. Coordinating with department leads to gather input and ensure alignment in the development and execution of strategic initiatives. Prepare detailed reports and briefs on operational activities, including progress assessments, resource utilization, and potential risks. Analyze current operational processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Support the planning and execution of exercises, training sessions, and contingency operations by developing scenarios, coordinating logistics, and providing administrative support. Maintain comprehensive records of operational plans, decisions, and outcomes for future reference. Facilitate regular planning meetings and briefings, preparing agendas, documenting decisions, and ensuring follow-up on action items. Develop and maintain a schedule for operational activities, ensuring all key milestones are tracked and met. Create and distribute after-action reports to document lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement following major operations or exercises. QualificationsQualifications Demonstrated ability to coordinate operational planning, track milestones and action items, prepare decision-support products, and support exercises or training events. Education Bachelor's degree in related field. Years of Relative Work Experience: Five (5) years experience providing operations, planning, program management, or administrative support within a government, military, higher education, or comparable organizational environment. Clearance: Minimum Tier 1 background investigation and Government-access eligibility are required; an active Secret clearance is required before supporting classified events or tasks.
