Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Monitors and measures activity and performance of a commercial telecom/IP network.
  • Collects, interprets, and reports network data and individual customer performance data to provide statistics for billing.
  • Develops applications and programs in C, C++, and JAVA, as well as programs/scripts in PERL, AWK, and SED.
  • Technical knowledge includes an in-depth understanding of TCP/IP, SNMP, ATM, and frame relay.
  • Must also be knowledgeable of network management tools such as HPOV, Netcool, and Nerve Center; web development tools including CGI, HTML, and Active Server Pages (ASP); and operating systems such as Solaris and Windows NT.
  • Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative.
  • Works under consultative direction toward predetermining long-range targets.
  • Provides advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree and typically 10+ years of related professional experience. An advanced degree may be preferred at this level.
  • DoD IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, Network+ CE, or CCNA Security) - Baseline DoD information assurance qualification.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE - Essential cybersecurity knowledge certification for network operations.
  • Must possess TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • CCIE - Expert-level Cisco credential in enterprise infrastructure or security.
  • CCNP - Advanced Cisco networking design, implementation, and troubleshooting certification.
  • CISSP - Management-level security certification for information assurance roles.
  • JNCIE - Juniper expert credential for network design and troubleshooting.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.
