Spry Methods is seeking a Software Engineer to support a federal customer in Quantico, VA.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with software testing best practices and defect management processes and proven experience in delivering realistic estimates, in scope, and quality products.Â
\n- Lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks.Â
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.Â
- Coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams to identify automation needs.Â
- Review and analyze test automation results to ensure software quality.Â
- Mentor and train junior test engineers on automation best practices.Â
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Â
- Monitor and improve the efficiency of test automation processes.Â
- Perform testing activities to ensure proper tracking and completion each Sprint and overall releaseÂ
- Write and revise test-related management plans and formal test ProceduresÂ
- Perform functional, exploratory, system, regression and performance testing.Â
- US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.Â
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience, or equivalent certifications demonstrating ability to perform at this level.Â
- Proven experience in software test automation.Â
- Leadership experience in a testing or QA role.Â
- Srong understanding of software development lifecycles.Â
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.Â
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Â
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.Â
- Excellent understanding and experience of test automation frameworks, regression, system, functional and performance testing.Â
- Exceptional collaborative communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Â
- Experience with Agile Development / Scrum frameworkÂ
- Understanding of test-driven development and/or behavior driven developmentÂ
- Familiarity with JiraÂ
