Hurricane Grill & Wings works hard to bring our guests that easy-going, beach lifestyle in totally relaxed restaurant form.  With quality sourced, award-winning wings and a bar side atmosphere overflowing with beers, we've created a place for regulars and visitors, friends and families alike.  As an Expo, you will be responsible for assisting kitchen staff with prepping and plating all food while upholding and maintaining food service standards.

What You Will Be Doing

• Comply with all Six Flags policies and procedures
• Check food to make sure of its quality and correct temperature as stated by NYS Department of Health
• Finish/Garnish food to be served to Guests
• Actively move food from the Kitchen to the Guest Table
• Ensure food meets NYS Health Department as well as Six Flags requirements

How You Will Do It

• Prep food for use during shift
• Clean food preparation areas, utensils and equipment
• Store food in temperature-controlled equipment
• Cook and package batches of food, such as hamburgers and fried chicken, which are prepared to order or kept hot/cold until sold
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas
• Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional
• Prepare food to meet state Health Department as well as Six Flag requirements
• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles
• Prepare specialty foods such as pizzas following specific methods that usually require short preparation time
• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity

• Pay Rate: $16.25/hr.

What You Will Need

• Must be 18 or over
• Must be able to stand, or walk for extended periods of time
• For safety purposes, the individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
• Previous culinary experience preferred
• Ability to actively communicate with large groups of Guests and other co-workers within the operation
• Be available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines
• Must be a friendly and outgoing team player
