Your role at BHSN:Ā 

Ā 
AsĀ a Substance Clinician you will work in our licensed OASAS outpatient clinic and focus on serving individuals ages 13 and up with substance use concerns, and work as a team to meet the client where they are at and utilize a harm reduction model to assist clients in their recovery. Center for Recovery utilizes individual, group, and family therapy to work with our clients on their recovery plan, identifying triggers, and working toward recovery and relapse prevention.Ā

What your day might look like:Ā 

  • ProvidesĀ direct clinical treatment including individual, family, and group therapies, and crisis intervention toward maximizing the clinical response of each person seenĀ 
  • Conducts initial evaluations andĀ identifiesĀ critical impairments that become the focus of treatment form effective planning and implementation of treatmentĀ 
  • ProvidesĀ unscheduled and or emergent services as needed for walk-in, open-access, and crisis clients at any time during scheduled shiftĀ 
  • ProvidesĀ services beyond scheduled shift asĀ requiredĀ to meet the needs of acute walk-in,Ā open access, and/or crisis clientsĀ 
  • Documents all aspects of the evaluation and treatment process to potentiate patient care,Ā facilitateĀ effective treatment coordination, and ensure regulatory complianceĀ

Your skills and qualifications:
Ā 

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work is required. Ā 
  • LMHC-P, LMHC, LMSW or LCSW license preferredĀ 
  • Experience providing direct clinical service to the population served by the assigned clinical program is strongly preferred. Ā 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ā 
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportationĀ requiredĀ for local and regional travelĀ
